We are excited to announce the immediate availability of PET imaging through both Methodist Dallas Medical Center and Methodist Charlton Medical Center.
PET offers one of the most sensitive ways to detect cancer and follow those patients currently undergoing treatment.
PET is also used for brain imaging in the evaluation of seizures and other neurologic disorders, as well as to evaluate patients with suspected myocardial ischemia or heart disease.

Multislice CT is the very latest generation of CT scanners. With this new scanner, whole body imaging can be performed in a matter of seconds. Incredibly detailed pictures can be obtained with these ultrafast scanners and used to create three dimensional reconstuctions of any part of the body.
The ultrafast scans now enable us to perform new tests including coronary calcium scoring looking for heart disease before patients have symptoms of chest pain. Also, very sensitive lung cancer screening has become a reality since detailed pictures of the lungs can be obtained in a matter of seconds. This can help catch lung cancer early when it is easier to treat and cure.
